90% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Dark red in the glass. This wine is round and full bodied. Red Fruit aromas and flavors of plum, blackberry, and cassis dominate.  One glass calls for another! 

This wine is a dream with rich, Mediterranean-style food. Perfect with dishes like Sirloin strip roast with Roquefort mushrooms and braised lamb. 

Who is L' Agassant? 

L'Agassant is the nickname of a historic figure of Bordeaux - Marcel Richier. (one translation of the nickname is “Trouble Maker”)

He was a politician, lawyer, agronomist, and in 1841 – the owner of Chateau D’Agassac. He invented the wire trellis system most grapes in the world are grown on today. Had he lived in our times, he would likely be a social media influencer on YouTube or Tik Tok, but the good kind - informing people of great life hacks, poking fun at the pretentious characters in our society and letting us know about great deals and products we’d love – especially wines! He would be amazed by the evolution of Bordeaux wines, the clichés that are linked to them, and would be keen to change opinions.
